ATHLETIC MINISTRY COMMITTEE (AMC)

The Athletic Ministry Committee (AMC) will be comprised of parents, parishioners and St. Brigid community members who have a desire to use the platform of sports to speak into the lives of student-athletes and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

The four sub-committees within the AMC will consist of the following:

  • Communication
    • Work in conjunction with Marketing and Communications Office
  • Compliance
    • Work in conjunction with the Safe Environment Office
  • Logistics
    • Work directly with the Athletic Director
  • Finance
    • Work in conjunction with the Parish Finance Office

Members of the AMC will assist the parish and athletic director in the following ways (not an exhaustive list):

  • Identify and recruit quality individuals to serve as commissioners, coaches, and volunteers for SBK Athletics.
  • Annual audit of overall budget and review of operational budget (by season).
  • Serve in the role(s) of commissioner, coach, and/or volunteer.
  • Recommend improvements to the overall operations of SBK Athletics and parish-owned facilities.
  • Submit suggestions for changes to SBK Athletics policy, charter, and/or by-laws.
  • Work in conjunction with the SBK Safe Environment Office by gaining compliance as a recognized volunteer.
  • Coordinate scheduling of volunteers and staff for (home) game management experience.
  • Help organize team functions during and after the season of competition (Homecoming, 8th grade recognition, team recognition by season, after season celebration, etc.)
